Important changes to 29/329 Dufferin, 929 Dufferin Express, 304/504 King and 503 Kingston Rd service

Effective Sunday, November 9

Updated November 7, 2025

Starting Sunday, November 9, 304/504 King streetcars will resume regular routing as testing and commissioning of newly installed streetcar tracks at the intersection of King Street West and Dufferin Street ends.

503 Kingston Rd bus service will be shortened to operate between Dufferin Gate Loop and Bingham Loop (Kingston Road and Victoria Park Avenue) via King Street.

508 Lake Shore streetcars will resume regular routing on Monday, November 10.

The City of Toronto and the TTC began work in late September replacing aging streetcar tracks and sidewalk replacement and tactile plate installation at King Street West and Dufferin Street which was projected to continue until mid-November. With the reopening of the intersection, the TTC can now resume bus and streetcar service earlier than anticipated.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • 29 Dufferin329 Dufferin and 929 Dufferin Express routes have resumed regular routing.

  • 304/504A King and 508 Lake Shore streetcars will return to regular routing operating along King Street West between Roncesvalles Avenue and Shaw Street.

  • 504B King streetcars will resume regular routing to Dufferin Gate Loop.

  • 503 Kingston Rd bus service will be shortened to operate between Dufferin Gate Loop and Bingham Loop.

  • 402 Parkdale Community Bus service will continue operating along regular routing from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays only.

  • Wheel-Trans services will remain accessible in all areas where local traffic is permitted.

Rail and concrete repairs are essential across the streetcar network to maintain safe and reliable service. While it may seem frequent, these repairs are necessary due to the wear and tear caused by the frequent streetcar operations, as well as deterioration from other road users and adverse weather conditions.

We sincerely thank customers for their patience while the City of Toronto and TTC completed this critical repair work.
