Weekend service changes
Celebrate the final long weekend of the summer! Get out and enjoy all the great Labour Day events and activities including the Air Show, the last weekend of the CNE and Dream in High Park, and festivals galore celebrating the diversity and culture of the city.
Labour Day service – September 1
The TTC will operate on a holiday schedule on Labour Day, Monday, September 1. All TTC routes will operate on their Sunday service schedules but will start earlier, at approximately 6 a.m.
Any routes that do not normally operate on Sundays, will not operate on Labour Day. Customers are encouraged to visit the 2025 holiday service page for more information.
There are no planned subway closures on Labour Day, but events taking place across the city will result in adjustments to service. Customers are encouraged to plan their trip in advance and to allow extra time to travel to their destinations.
TTC’s Customer Service Centre will be closed on Labour Day, including Customer Service, Customer Information, the Customer Service Centre Office, the Lost Articles Office at Bay Station, and the Photo ID Centre at Bathurst Station.
Regular hours for Customer Service, Customer Service Centre, Customer Information, Photo ID Centre and Lost Articles Office will resume on Tuesday, September 2.

Canadian National Exhibition – August 15 – September 1
Heading to the Ex? The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) is one of Toronto’s biggest summer events, attracting more than 1.5 million visitors each year.
Transit is the fastest, safest, and greenest way to and from the CNE. Whether you go for the food, the rides, the shows, or the competitions, the TTC can take you there!
Extra service + CNE Express buses
Throughout the event, the TTC will be running the following additional service:
- From Dufferin Station – extra service on 29 Dufferin / 929 Dufferin Express, plus dedicated CNE Express shuttle buses to the Dufferin Gate loop.
- From Bathurst Station – take a 511 Bathurst replacement bus to the Exhibition Loop.
- From Union Station – extra service on the 509 Harbourfront route. Please note: The stop at Manitoba Drive and Strachan Avenue (Stop ID#1062) is out of service for the duration of the CNE. Exit the streetcar at the Fleet Street and Fort York Blvd stop (Stop ID#14508) and walk 7 minutes to the Princes’ Gates, or stay on the streetcar to Exhibition Loop. .
Temporary Diversions during the CNE
- 29 Dufferin / 929 Dufferin Express bus service will turn back north from the Dufferin Gate Loop.
- 329 Dufferin Night bus will divert around Liberty Village, and serve Dufferin Gate Loop on the northbound trip from Princes’ Gate Loop.
- 63 Ossington will turn back travelling westbound on King St West, south on Fraser Avenue, east on Liberty St and then north on Atlantic Avenue, to regular route.

- 511 Bathurst replacement buses will divert southbound from Bathurst Station, south to Bathurst Street, west to Fort York Boulevard, south to Iannuzzi Street, west to Fleet Street, west to Manitoba Drive to streetcar row into Exhibition Loop.
- 511 Bathurst replacement buses will divert northbound from Exhibition Loop, east to streetcar row to Manitoba Drive, east to Fleet Street in general traffic, north to east to Fort York Boulevard, north to Bathurst Street to Bathurst Station

Subway Service Changes
August 29: Line 1 early closure - Sheppard West to St Clair West stations
Subway service on Line 1 between Sheppard West and St Clair West stations will end at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, August 29, due to planned track work. Shuttle buses will operate.
TTC staff will be available on site to assist customers.
All TTC stations will remain open for customers to purchase or load a PRESTO card, PRESTO Ticket and to connect to surface routes. Regular service will resume each morning at approximately 6 a.m.

Bus and streetcar service changes
Temporary route changes: Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) – August 15 to September 1
The following routes will experience changes during the CNE:

12A Kingston Rd and 69 Warden South temporary route changes due to Taste of Bangladesh – August 30 at 1 p.m. to August 31 at 11 p.m.
12A Kingston Rd and 69 Warden South buses will divert both ways on Birchmount Road, Highview Avenue, McIntosh Street and Claremore Avenue.
Stops not served: Danforth Avenue between Birchmount and Kingston roads, Kingston Rd between Danforth and Claremore avenues.
29 Dufferin, 63 Ossington, 501 Queen, 504 King, 510 Spadina and 511 Bathurst temporary route changes due to the Labour Day Parade – September 1 between 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

501 Queen: From 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 501A Queen streetcars will operate as a split route:
West side: between Humber Loop and Dundas West Station via Roncesvalles Avenue.
East side: turning back south on Church Street, west on Richmond Street, south on Victoria Street, east on Adelaide Street, to regular route.
From 7 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., 501A Queen replacement buses will operate between Humber Loop and Spadina Crescent via The Queensway, Queen Street West and Spadina Avenue.
From 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 501A Queen replacement buses will operate between Humber Loop and Spadina Crescent via The Queensway, Queen Street West, Lansdowne Avenue, Dundas Street West and Spadina Avenue.
Stops not served: Queen Street West between Spadina Avenue and Church Street.
503 Kingston Rd: From 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 503 Kingston Road replacement buses will turn back from King Street West, south on Fraser Avenue, east on Liberty Street, north on Atlantic Avenue and east on King Street West, to regular route.
Stops not served: west of Fraser Avenue.
504 King: From 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 504 King streetcars will turn back from Spadina Avenue, east on Adelaide Street West, south on Charlotte Street and east on King Street West, to regular route.
504 King replacement buses will operate as follows:
Eastbound: from Dundas West Station, south on Dundas Street West, south on Roncesvalles Avenue, east on King Street West and north on Elm Grove Avenue.
Westbound: from Elm Grove Avenue, west on Queen Street West, south on Cowan Avenue, west on King Street West and north on Roncesvalles Avenue, to Dundas West Station.
Stops not served: King Street West between Elm Grove and Spadina Avenue.
509 Harbourfront : As of 5:30 p.m., there will be no 509 Harbourfront streetcar service into Exhibition Loop. The last westbound service stop will be on Fleet Street at Fort York Boulevard.
510 Spadina: From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., 510 Spadina streetcars will turn back to Spadina Station from Spadina Avenue and Queens Quay Loop.
Stops not served: Queens Quay West to Union Station.
After 9 p.m., 510 Spadina streetcars will resume service to Union Station.
511 Bathurst: 511 Bathurst bus replacement service service will be maintained through gaps in the parade, but major delays are expected. As of 5:30 p.m., there will be no 511 Bathurst bus replacement service into Exhibition Loop. The last westbound service stop will be on Fleet Street at Fort York Boulevard.

Canadian International Airshow

Want to witness the amazing aeronautics? Marilyn Bell Park is a short walk from the west side of the Canadian National Exhibition grounds. The TTC can take you there!
- Option 1: Take a 504 King streetcar or replacement bus to the stop at King Street West at Dowling Avenue. Marilyn Bell Park is a short walk south towards the lake.
- Option 2: Take Line 2 to Dundas West Station. From there, board an eastbound 504 King streetcar to the stop at King Street West at Dowling Ave. Marilyn Bell Park is a short walk south towards the lake.
Dream in High Park – “Romeo & Juliet” now until August 31
High Park Amphitheatre, 1873 Bloor Street WestThis year’s Dream in High Park comes to an end this weekend. Don’t miss out! Grab your family, pack a picnic and enjoy the production of the ever-popular “Romeo & Juliet.”
Nightly start times at 7 or 8 p.m., outdoor venue, weather permitting, until August 31, 2025.

- Option 1: Take Line 2 to High Park Station. From the main entrance, walk west to High Park Avenue, then walk south to the lights at Bloor Street West and High Park Avenue. Continue through the lights, staying on the sidewalk to the left on Colborne Lodge Drive. Follow signage to get to the amphitheatre. In total, it is an approximately 20-minute walk to the amphitheatre from the station.
- Option 2: Take the 501 Queen streetcar to the stop at the south side of High Park on The Queensway at Colborne Lodge Drive. From there, walk along Colborne Lodge Drive to the intersection at Centre Rd where you will see the path to the amphitheatre.
- Option 3: On Saturday and Sunday, the 203 High Park seasonal bus route will operate from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. between High Park Station and Colborne Lodge Drive. The last stop on the route is Colborne Lodge Drive at Centre Road where you will see the path to the amphitheatre.
Electric Island

Labour Day Parade – 9:30 a.m.

- Option 2: Take any route to the Canadian National Exhibition grounds, and watch the parade arrive at the CNE through the Dufferin Gates.
Note: 29 Dufferin, 63 Ossington, 501 Queen, 503 Kingston Rd, 504 King, 509 Harbourfront and 510 Spadina will have temporary route diversions at various times to accommodate the parade. The TTC can take you there!
- Option 1: Take Line 1 to Dupont Station. From there, the venue is about a 10-minute walk north on Spadina Road.
- Option 2: Take Line 2 to Spadina Station. From there, take a 127 Davenport bus to the stop at Spadina Road and Davenport Road. The entrance to Casa Loma is about a 6-minute walk from the stop.

Scotiabank Arena, 40 Bay StreetHeading to the concert? The TTC can take you there!
- Option 1: Take Line 1 to Union Station. Exit to Bay Street to the west and then walk south to the Scotiabank Arena entrance.
- Option 2: If you are travelling on bus or streetcar routes in the downtown core, the 510 Spadina, 19 Bay, 97 Yonge, 114 Queens Quay East and 121 Esplanade-River routes will get you to and from Union Station. The Scotiabank Arena entrance is a short walk south down Bay St from Union Station.
