Now Open: Line 6 Finch West

Line 6 Finch West is 11 kilometres of light rail transit connecting customers along Finch Avenue West.  It starts at Finch West Station (Keele Street) and goes all the way to Humber College Station (near Hwy 427). Starting December 7, 2025, it will provide customers with convenient and reliable rapid transit service and transform northwest Toronto’s connections to the rest of the city and beyond.

NEW - Line 6 Finch West LRT service to be extended daily until 1 a.m. starting Sunday, March 15:

Starting on Sunday, March 15, Line 6 Finch West light rail transit (LRT) service will be extended for full service to operate until 1 a.m. daily.

The Line 6 Finch LRT will operate between 6 a.m. and 1 a.m. on weekdays and Saturdays, on Sundays between 7:30 a.m. and 1 a.m., and on holidays between 7 a.m. and 1 a.m. 

Late evening service previously provided by the Line 6 Shuttle Bus will be removed.

Overnight service on the 336 Finch West will remain unchanged. 

Please note: Line 6 Shuttle Bus service will continue to operate during any Line 6 closures.

What to know:

  • Line 6 is 11 kilometres long and will take you from Finch West to Humber and everywhere in between.
  • Easy connections to TTC Subway Line 1, 30 TTC bus routes, and regional transit like York Region Transit (YRT), MiWay and more!
  • Onboard fare payment is not available. Tap your PRESTO, credit or debit card or your mobile wallet BEFORE boarding the vehicle.
  • Vehicles are modern and accessible. They feature level boarding platforms, priority seating and clear audio-visual announcements. Plus, underground stations include elevators from street to track level, wide fare gates, tactile guidance and more.
  • Humber students and staff, your trip to school just got a lot easier – Line 6 connects you to Humber Polytechnic North Campus.

The fully accessible Line 6 will improve the quality and reliability of TTC service along this busy corridor, supporting the growth of surrounding neighbourhoods and communities.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the hours of operation for Line 6?

    Line 6 will operate between 6 a.m. and 1 a.m. on weekdays and Saturdays. Sunday service between 7:30 a.m. and 1 a.m., and holiday service between 7 a.m. and 1 a.m. 

    During peak periods Monday to Friday (7 a.m. to 10 a.m., 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.), vehicles will operate approximately every 6 ½ minutes

    • During off-peak periods Monday to Friday, vehicles will operate every 9 to 10 minutes
    • On Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays, vehicles will operate between 9 and 13 minutes 
  • Is there real-time prediction information for Line 6 LRT vehicles? 

    Real-time prediction information for Line 6 LRT vehicles is available on screens at station stops and platforms. Scheduled time information is available on online maps and transit apps, including the Transit app. Customers can also access scheduled arrival times in the next arriving trains section of our Line 6 Finch West pages.  

  • Who is responsible for maintaining the Line 6 LRT vehicles?

    The line’s infrastructure and vehicles are maintained by Mosaic Transit Group (MTG) under contract to Metrolinx. As operator, the TTC works in close partnership with Metrolinx, the City of Toronto, and project partners to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient service, integrating Line 6 Finch West into Toronto’s broader transit.
